Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Dropmute, a macOS application developed and operated by TinyThings ("we", "us", "our", "the Company"). By downloading, installing, or using Dropmute, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dropmute. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

License

Dropmute grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the application on up to 3 Mac devices. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or modify the application.

Free & Pro

Dropmute's Free tier provides 5 file conversions per day with access to all formats and features — no trial, no time limit. The Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase of $9.99 (USD) that removes the daily conversion limit. Your Pro license is perpetual and valid for up to 3 Mac devices.

Refund Policy

Payments are processed by Polar.sh (our merchant of record). Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase to support@tinythings.app or through Polar.sh's support.

User Content

You retain ownership of all files you convert with Dropmute. We do not claim any rights to your content. All files are processed and stored locally on your device.

File Processing

Dropmute processes files entirely on your Mac using native macOS frameworks and a bundled Pandoc engine. No files are uploaded to any server. Conversion accuracy depends on the input file format and quality. We do not guarantee error-free conversion for all file types.

Intellectual Property

Dropmute, its name, logo, and all associated intellectual property are owned by TinyThings. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, branding, or other proprietary materials except as needed to use the application as intended.

Disclaimer

Dropmute is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. File conversion results may vary depending on input format, file complexity, and system resources. Use the app at your own discretion.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dropmute and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the application, including but not limited to data loss, file corruption, loss of profits, or interruption of business. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Dropmute shall not exceed the amount you paid for the application.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you violate these Terms. Where possible, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure the violation. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as required by applicable law.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Dropmute after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
